1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 Hereafter, Alternative Solutions may be referred to as the company and the person instructing work to be undertaken by Alternative Solutions shall be known as the client.

2. Confirmation of work to be undertaken

2.1 Written confirmation agreeing to Alternative Solutions terms and conditions and acceptance of price quotation is required before any work is undertaken.   This is preferred by email.

3. Payment

3.1 Individuals

3.1.1 Alternative Solutions require 50% deposit of the quoted price for work to be undertaken. The balance is due upon completion of the work.  Payment is accepted by debit or credit card, the latter incurs a 3% handling fee.   Interest will be added at the rate of 5% +vat per seven day period for invoices that remain unpaid after 14 days.

3.2 Corporate and Solicitors

3.2.1 If the agreed price for work exceeds £200 + vat, a 50% deposit will be required upon confirmation of the work.  The balance will be payable upon completion and will be for strict seven day payment.  Payments can be made by cheque or BACS transfer. Interest will be added at the rate of 5% +vat per seven day period for invoices that remain unpaid after 14 days.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 After confirmation from the client to proceed with work has been received by Alternative Solutions, a handling fee will be charged should the work then be cancelled before actual work has commenced.  This is charged at 10% of the total price quoted +vat and is due for payment within seven days of the cancellation .

4.2 Where a deposit has been received, the handling fee will be deducted from monies received and the balance will be reimbursed to the client within seven days of cancellation.  The handling fee is taken to cover time spent and expenses incurred organising work instructed.

4.3 Should work have already commenced when cancellation takes place, all time spent will be charged to the client plus a 10% handling fee.   This cost will be calculated on the basis of how much work has been undertaken.

5. Data Protection

5.1 All client information will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (Data Protection Registration number Z1367007).   Information will only be shared with Alternative Solutions staff and operatives and will not be passed to any other third parties.  Client files are stored securely for 12 months and then destroyed unless the client requests otherwise.   The company reserves the right to charge for storage of files after 12 months.

5.2 From time to time, Alternative Solutions may contact the client with information regarding its services.  If the client does not wish to receive this, they should advise the company by email.

6. Privacy Policy
